horrified to lose again,
he hides himself in darkness' zen,
for fear that if he shows he cares,
the warming sun will burn him bare,
he loves the sun, and the sun loves him,
but it seems it does oft begin to grin,
as it sinks past where he sees,
and hides in murky shadows in deepest seas,
so he then begins to fear,
as darkness sneaks behind his curtained tears,
that still stare out at the sun,
he is bound victim to this darker one,
this moon mistress that tears at him,
he does not love her, and she not him,
yet for all he tries he cannot leave,
each passing day the sun does weave,
back down to murky shores below,
where crabs do walk, and fish do glow,
and there he's left for half his life,
tormented by his midnight wife,
clad in bondage to what she brings,
be it whip or dagger or other things,
he does enjoy it, he oft admits,
wrapped in leather,
the pain - the pleasure,
for all that this is to him,
it means nothing for it's not his whim,
he is not free to roam by day,
for he spends his nights sleepless in her sway,
and so he sees the sun less and less,
and propaganda begins to twist,
and soon he thinks of her estranged,
and demon lover - his one has changed,
but it is not true - like all great lies,
he loves the sun he cannot see through dark-filled eyes,
it is this witch temptress he does despise,
until this succubine is dead to him,
he will always struggle for the sun again,
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~and never win~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
in a larger context, does that mean then that you believe that if you avoid a topic, you're not lying? because i am a true believer in lying by omission.
